This position will support the firm’s Chief Financial Officer with general accounting tasks, bookkeeping, data entry, and reporting. You'll also assist in quarterly reconciliation work, help build out spreadsheet processes, and participate in transitioning the department to a new accounting software system . You'll be joining a small, tight-knit accounting team, working alongside another employee who handles settlements and disbursements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with general accounting functions, bookkeeping, and data entry
Create and manage spreadsheets and reports for banks and internal use
Help reconcile partner accounts at quarter-end
Participate in the transition to a new accounting solution , including process improvement
Provide support for potential integration of QuickBooks or similar platforms
Eventually assist with settlement-related financial tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
At least 2 years of accounting or legal admin experience
Comfortable with manual systems and building structure from the ground up
CPA is preferred , but not required
Experience in a plaintiff’s law firm is a plus
