This is a remote position.
As an Entry-Level Data Entry Clerk supporting Hobie, you will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining key operational data — including order details, inventory records, customer profiles, vendor invoices, and shipment logs. The position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in data operations, offering the flexibility of remote work while working for a globally recognized brand that designs and distributes premium watercraft and gear.
Input data into company systems including sales orders, inventory updates, rental or accessory logs, vendor purchase orders, and customer service records.
Review source documents (invoices, order forms, shipment receipts) for accuracy and completeness before entering data; raise any discrepancies or missing information.
Maintain and update spreadsheets or databases: remove duplicates, standardize entries, ensure consistent naming conventions and coding.
Assist in generating basic reports (e.g., daily entry volumes, error counts, backlog summaries) and share with supervisors for review.
Collaborate remotely with relevant teams (sales, logistics, customer service) to clarify data points, follow-up on missing entries, and support efficient operations.
Adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols, ensuring customer and vendor information is handled with care.
Participate in training sessions and follow documented procedures; ask for help when needed to ensure accuracy.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Some experience (could be internships or coursework) in data entry, clerical work, or remote administrative support preferred but not strictly required.
Adept typing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic proficiency in spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort learning new software tools.
Strong organisational and time management skills; ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a remote setting.
Reliable home office setup (stable internet, quiet workspace) and good communication skills (email/phone/video) to coordinate remotely.
Interest or enthusiasm for outdoor recreation and the Hobie brand is a plus.
Competitive hourly rate (entry-level) with potential for increase as one gains experience.
Fully remote work offers flexibility and work-life balance.
Opportunity to work for a respected outdoor lifestyle brand and be part of a team that values quality, innovation, and craftsmanship.
Training and professional development opportunities to build skills in data operations and remote teamwork.
Potential for advancement into higher data roles, operations support, or other areas within the company.
