Job Description

Salary: $180,000 - 220,000 per year Requirements:

• We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in managing large-scale data storage solutions, utilizing technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Zookeeper, and MySQL. Familiarity with configuration management tools (like Chef or Salt) or strong expertise in Ruby is essential. Experience in cloud operations, preferably within Amazon Web Services, is also required. You should demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both local and remote teams, showcase a record of making sound decisions under pressure, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. We value a combination of self-assuredness and independence, paired with the wisdom to seek assistance from the team when necessary. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering is mandatory.

• As a Senior Database Engineer, you will maintain an in-depth understanding of our data components, including Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, to effectively operate and automate well-configured clusters. You will be tasked with developing infrastructure services that support our engineering team’s shift towards a comprehensive DevOps model. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Engineering and Customer Support teams to resolve time-sensitive production challenges, regardless of their occurrence. Your role will also involve ensuring the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of essential business data.
