Job Description:

The State of Mississippi is seeking a RHEL Cloud Server Administrator to support and maintain its private cloud datacenter. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining Linux-based virtual servers and infrastructure. This position demands a highly skilled administrator with SME-level expertise in Red Hat Linux systems and supporting technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers in a private cloud environment.
• Utilize Red Hat Satellite Server for system management and provisioning.
• Perform patch management and system updates using tools like Patch Management Plus.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions using Python and Bash .
• Provide cross-platform support for Windows Server and CentOS environments.
• Monitor systems using tools like Zabbix and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Administer databases including Microsoft SQL , Oracle SQL , and ADABAS .
• Collaborate with network teams to support Citrix Netscaler hardware and configurations.
• Participate in the evaluation and deployment of new server technologies and architectures.
• Prepare documentation, compliance reports, and operational standards as needed.
